Putting Codes Into Action: How Newly Updated Building Codes Translate into Practice

This study estimates compliance rates in California cities through the sampling of building projects in jursidictions across the state. Compliance rates were estimated based on the completeness of permit files, compliance level achieved in the building plans, and observations made during field inspections.
