DC: From Zero to Sixty

In 2008, Washington, DC became one of the few jurisdictions to adopt the IECC 2006 code with ―30% Solution‖ amendments for residential construction and ASHRAE 90.1-2007 for com-mercial construction. Along with a series of code requirements that address water quality and water conservation, the DC energy codes are now on the cutting edge.
