South Carolina 2006 IECC Training for Code Officials on March 23

The South Carolina Energy Office will be offering 2006 IECC training that has been approved for 6 CEUs for South Carolina code officials and 6 CEUs with the AIA. The courseis intended for building code enforcement officials, contractors, engineers, architects, and anyone else interested in learning about the newly adopted energy code for South Carolina. The residential code will be discussed in the morning and the commercial code will be discussed in the afternoon.

The 6-hour course will discuss the:

  • structure of the code,
  • key highlights,
  • mandatory requirements, and
  • the three compliance pathways
    • REScheck/COMcheck pathway
    • Prescriptive pathway
    • Simulated performance pathway

 

Fees for the course are structured as follows:

  • 2006 IECC   Government officials = $100.00
  • 2006 IECC Others (contractors, architects, engineers, private inspectors, etc) = $150.00

The course will be offered March 23rd at Midlands Technical College, Northeast Campus. Registration is available online at the link below.
