Oklahoma Code Commission Seeks Members for Residential Code Committee
In May 2009 the legislature created the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission (OUBCC) to develop statewide minimum construction standards. OUBCC has been calling for volunteers to serve on the UBCC’s Residential Technical Review committees. These committees will be charged with reviewing chapters of the 2009 International Residential Code and bringing their recommendations back to the OUBCC. The OUBCC will consider the recommendations and adopt a residential code which will apply to the entire State of Oklahoma.
The OUBCC will hold a public hearing on this matter on September 14 in Oklahoma City.
